Installation instructions for Multi-Dendrix
============================================

Downloading and installing
---------------------------------------------
To download the latest version of Multi-Dendrix, you can clone from GitHub::
  
  git clone https://github.com/mdml/multi-dendrix.git

or by visiting `https://github.com/mdml/multi-dendrix <https://github.com/mdml/multi-dendrix>`_ where you can download a zipped-version of the files.

After pulling from Github, simply run::

	python setup.py install

After that, please visit :doc:`getting_started` or just try running some of the scripts.

System requirements
---------------------------------------------
Multi-Dendrix was developed on 64-bit Debian Linux. It has not been tested on other systems.

The Multi-Dendrix package requires the following Python modules:
  * `IBM's CPLEX <http://goo.gl/dJV6f>`_.
  * `NetworkX <http://networkx.github.com>`_.
  * Either SciPy >= version 0.11 or `fisher0.1.4 <http://goo.gl/zYrLr>`_.

In addition, for web output with network figures, Multi-Dendrix requires the installation of `GraphViz <http://www.graphviz.org/>`_.
